The organisation to whom you are providing the personal information is ALDI Stores (A Limited Partnership). ALDI Stores recognises the importance of maintaining your privacy and this statement details what information we will collect about you and how we will manage, use and disclose this information.
In applying to ALDI Stores for employment, you consent to our collecting and disclosing information about you in accordance with this statement. These provisions do not apply to employee records.
What Information may ALDI Stores collect and hold?
The personal information ALDI Stores may hold about you includes: your name, address, telephone number, email address, career details, qualifications, experience, interests, information supplied on your resume or application form or in interviews with us.
In certain circumstances, we may also collect sensitive information about your health, membership of a professional or trade association, or police record. This information will only be collected with your consent. You may choose not to provide us with information but this may affect our ability to assess your application and hence, the likelihood of offering you employment with ALDI Stores.
As far as possible we will collect information directly from you via application forms, interviews and resume submitted by you. We may also collect personal information from another source such as your nominated referees.
Sensitive information may also be collected from medical practitioners and government databases such as police criminal records.
How will we use your personal information?
We will use your personal information in determining your suitability for work with ALDI Stores. We may disclose your personal information to: referees, suppliers of services to us (including medical practitioners), government departments or our related entities.

ALDI Stores takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information we collect and use is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However the accuracy of that information depends on the information you provide. ALDI Stores encourages you to:

ii) keep us up-dated with changes to your personal information, particularly your address and telephone numbers.

Your personal information may be stored in hard copy or electronically. ALDI Stores has security processes in place to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure and to destroy the personal information once it is no longer required.
